A bit about me: I'm a furry (maned wolf), car enthusiast with several project cars, a gamer (primarily sixth and seventh generation consoles, PC, and Steam Deck), an electronics hobbyist, and an all-around tinkerer.
I just recently learned about Neocities and loved the concept, as I'm old enough to remember GeoCities. The timing was exceptional, as I'm working to move my online presence away from the giant corporate entities. Neocities feels nice and cozy, and I'm looking forward to dusting off my HTML/CSS skills. For an added bit of difficulty, I'll be writing all the code for this website by hand!
Currently I live in the mountains of Colorado. I may also talk about hiking, camping, and general outdoorsy stuff here as well. I generally attend about six conventions a year, and I suit at most of those (although my fursuit is currently under repair). You can look for me at Denfur and Anthro Weekend Utah, and random others!
I'm a proponent of right-to-repair, as I believe everyone should own their hardware (be it a phone, computer, car, or large appliance). I believe in free open source software (FOSS) and do what I can to support FOSS projects. Trans right are human rights, and women have a right to fully control their own bodies. Billionaires should pay taxes (and nobody should have more than a billion dollars anyway, liquid or otherwise). As a gun owner, I support massive and sweeping changes in how the US handles gun ownership. The collection and aggregation of personal data for sale by private companies needs to be drastically curtailed. Corporations should not be treated as people, and no corporation should be allowed to own and control access to basic human needs (housing, food, and water).
LLM/"AI" is a scam to appropriate the work of artists, writers, programmers, and animators without compensation.
Remote work leads to greater productivity, better mental/physical health, and reduced emissions, and should be the standard. Elon Musk is a charlatan and has interferred with the military operations of Ukraine on multiple occasions at the behest of his Russian owners (Slava Ukraini). Climate change is real, you might die before it impacts you but man is the world you leave behind going to suck for your kids. Cryptocurrency is a pyramid scheme and generates no real value, but it sure burns a lot of energy for no justifiable reason. COVID-19 didn't originate in a lab, the earth isn't flat, vaccines (and tylenol, holy shit) don't cause autism, go touch grass.
